Well start with a brief overview of the machines then take a look at them up-close.
The Fellowes Intellishred C-325Ci shreds up to 22 sheets per pass into 5/32″ x 1-1/2″ particles. The Patented SafeSense Technology stops the shredder immediately when hands are too close to the paper opening. The C-325Ci features SilentShred which offers ultra-quiet shredder performance in shared workspaces, a contemporary design including a separate slot for CDs, 22 gallon waste container, a new Jam Proof System that eliminates frustrating jams by preventing overloads and powering through misfed paper, a time saving sheet capacity indicator measures paper as you shred to ensure maximum capacity at every pass and castors for easy mobility. The innovative Fellowes Intellishred C-325i is ideal for small business use and shreds up to 10 sheets per pass into 7/32″ strips as fast as 18 feet per minute. Features NEW SilentShred technology which offers ultra-quiet shredder performance in shared workspaces and patented SafeSense Technology stops shredder immediately when hands are too close to the paper opening. Equipped with an 9.5″ paper entry, the C-325i easily accepts letter or legal size documents, and features durable steel cutters that shred staples, paper clips, CD’s, DVD’s and credit cards. Other features include a Jam Proof System that eliminates frustrating jams by preventing overloads and powering through misfed paper, a time saving sheet capacity indicator measures paper as you shred to ensure maximum capacity at every pass and castors for easy mobility.
Security
The C-325ci (cross-cut) model sports a level 3 security which means that your paper will be shred into particles 5/32 x 1 1 inches. This is more than sufficient for that average user and will render the paper unreadable. A peripheral benefit to the smaller particle is waste reduction since your bin will actually hold more cross-cut paper than strip-cut. The C-325i will shred your paper into strips that are 7/32 inch strips which technically satisfies most HIPA requirements but we highly recommend investing in the cross-cut model for better security.
Shredable Material
What really makes this machine stand out is its ability to shred through CDs, Paper Clips, Credit Cards and Staples. This means that you wont have to invest in a separate machine to handle different types of media that you may have lying around the office. Gone are the days of having to remove staples and paper clips from your paper.
Bin & Throat Size
Both models come equipped with a 22 Gallon bin and a sport a 9.5 inch paper entry. We love the 22 gallon bin which will allow you quite a bit of time before having to empty it out, but we wish that the throat could have been a little bit bigger. Although technically the 9.5 inches is sufficient to handle virtually any size paper, we prefer the extra room in case the paper cripples on itself or you enter it in crooked. This isnt a deal breaker but we hope that theyll look at widening that throat to 10 inches in the future
Warranty
The icing on the cake for these machines in the 3 year warranty on the machine along with the lifetime warranty on the cutters. Although these machines are manufactured in China, it makes us feel a lot better that they have a 3-year warranty and we know that a huge company like Fellowes has the resources to back up that warranty.

Overall we highly recommend the C-325 series shredders for small to medium sized businesses with a decent amount of shredding . Keep this puppy oiled and you should be able to have it around the office for quite a long time.
